sxsw Create

This year at SXSW I really liked the new ‘SXSW Create’ event. Doing creative and revolutionary things with new technologies has always been a part of the SXSW Interactive Festival. SXSW Create is a new label for the maker culture. From 3D printing (Candy!) to drones, from laser cutters to biohacking. This year there was a big tent packed with showcases of all of these maker things.

sxsw 2014

SXSW 2014 was again stunning. The best thing I discovered was the food at the foodtruck from East Side King. I had the Fried Brussels Sprout Salad that came with sweet-spicy sauce, shredded cabbage, alfalfa sprouts, basil, cilantro, mint, onion and jalapeņo. Best Salad EVER.


Border Sessions is an international festival in The Hague aimed at professionals and (PhD) students working in the fields of technology and science.

Overnight Oats

Yesterday I made my first 'overnight oats'. Overnight oats are oats soaked overnight that absorb the liquid you put them in – milk, almond milk, soy milk, yoghurt or a combination. Put them in the fridge and then the next morning you have creamy oats. Fill them up with fruit, nuts, berries, flaxseed, anything will do, here you can find more inspiration.
